10th Annual Radiology Review Course Feb 22-Feb 28, 2020

Course Overview

This course will provide a week-long broad spectrum review of radiological sub-specialties for radiologists and residents in preparation for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada licensing exam in Diagnostic Radiology. The course will include lectures (some case-based) and comprehensive reviews in:

  • Chest
  • Cardiac
  • Breast
  • GI, GU
  • Women's Imaging
  • Emergency Radiology
  • MSK
  • Pediatrics
  • Nuclear Medicine
  • Neuroradiology
  • Interventional Radiology

As part of the course fees, all participants will receive an electronic link to PDF files of all course presentations. This link will be available for one month after the end of the course. Files are for the use of course participants only and should not be reproduced or shared without prior permission.

Course fees also include a brunch, reception and all breaks. Lunches are on own and the responsibility of the participants.


We will also be running mock exams: OSCES. Hotseats and Orals.

The OSCE exams will take place at the beginning of the course (Sat Feb 22nd). The Hotseats will take place Monday through Wednesday evenings with a French hotseat on Monday Evening. Oral Exams will be taking place on Friday Feb 28, 2020.

** If you sign up for an OSCE, you must attend the answer session which will be offered the morning of Sunday, Feb. 23th. If you do not sign up for an OSCE, you may not attend the answer session.

Overall Course Learning Objectives

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify, characterize and provide a differential assessment for radiologic abnormalities identified on imaging in all areas of radiology.
  • Provide an appropriate investigation and management strategies for abnormalities detected.
  • Recognise emergent and life threatening abnormalities on imaging studies and manage appropriately.
  • Discuss pertinent technical issues and modality use in clinical imaging and follow up.
  • Discuss and review the Royal College Exam process in depth

Target Audience

This course is intended as a general review and preparatory course for the Royal College Exam in Diagnostic Radiology. The intended audience is radiology residents and practicing radiologists interested in a general review.

The mock exams are intended for PGY-5's or those taking the RCPSC Exam in 2020. Those taking the exam in 2020 have priority.
