2016 Clinical-Radiological Pediatric Imaging: An Update for Pediatricians, Family Physicians & Radiologists

Course Overview & Objectives

This one-day course is intended to provide a comprehensive practical and multidisciplinary approach to pediatric imaging from a clinical perspective. The course will update participants on optimal imaging selection for common clinical problems in pediatrics.

The focus of the course is to provide guidelines for indications as well as emphasize the diagnostic and prognostic value of imaging in relevant clinical settings. Audience participation will be encouraged through interactive cases and frequent common clinical questions.

At the completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize the state-of-the-art imaging modality in common pediatric clinical scenarios
  • Distinguish controversies in pediatric Imaging
  • Describe indications and contraindications of different imaging modalities in pediatrics
  • Recognize imaging clues in the work-up of pediatric diseases
