2016: 6th Annual Ottawa Radiology Resident Review Course
This course will provide a week-long broad spectrum review of radiological sub-specialties for residents and radiologists in preparation for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada licensing exam in Diagnostic Radiology. The course will include lectures (some case-based) and comprehensive reviews in:
- GI, GU
- Women's Imaging
- Emergency Radiology
- Nuclear Medicine
As part of the course fees, all participants will receive an electronic link to PDF files of all course presentations. This link will be available for one month after the end of the course. Files are for the use of course participants only and should not be reproduced or shared without prior permission.
Course fees also include a Welcome Reception and all breaks. Lunches are on own and the responsibility of the participants.
The course begins on Sunday March 5th at 12noon (registration opens at 10 am) and ends Thursday March 10th. Optional sessions are held Monday-Thursday evenings as well as all day Friday, March 11th.
We offer restricted optional (at a cost) sessions only for those who are scheduled to take the Royal College Exam in 2016. They are as follows:

These sessions will allow small groups (no more than 20 people) to take cases in a rapid-fire format in order to prepare for the types of cases that are frequently encountered on the OSCE portion of the RCPSC Diagnostic Radiology Exam. All sessions will present a standard set of cases covering all areas of radiology that would be expected on the Royal College OSCE exam. Each evening session if the same so interested parties should sign up for only ONE. Copies of the cases will not be provided after the session.
OSCE Mock Exams (offert en anglais mais réponses écrites en français seront acceptées)
Available Wed and Thursday Evening as well as Friday during the day
This 2-hr mock exam will consist of 10 stations, in a standard OSCE format. All material will be provided. Scores and Exam answers will be e-mailed to each participant individually and confidentially after the course. Interested participants should sign up for only ONE.
ORAL Exam / EXAMEN ORAL (disponible en français, places limitées)
These are 1-hr, one on one sessions where participants will review up to 10 cases with a Radiologist. Individual feedback and a Pass/Fail/Borderline score will be provided by the Radiologist on the spot. Interested participants should sign up for only one spot. These spots are only for this scheduled to take the Royal College Exam in 2016.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE HOTSEAT EXAMS AND THE MOCK ORAL EXAMS ARE ONLY FOR THOSE WHO ARE REGISTERED TO TAKE THE ROYAL COLLEGE EXAM IN 2016. PROOF OF REGISTRATION MAY BE REQUIRED.
